"Vajra" a Buddhist ceremonial piece by my good friend Matthew Feldman
I was given the task of making the turned maple forms with which the Stingray shagreen was covered, as well as figuring out how to precisely split the sphere and cones and reassemble them. Matthew incorporated numerous materials into this piece such as Palladium, Aluminum, Silver, Stainless Steel, Titanium, 18K Rose Gold and 22K Yellow Gold. At only 10" in length, this was a substantial project that consumed countless hours.
